The Bypass

This powerful message confronts us with a sobering reality: we are living in an hour when the measure of sin is reaching fullness, yet God's mercy still extends a hand of salvation to all who will receive it.

Drawing from Genesis 19 and the account of Sodom and Gomorrah, we're challenged to recognize the parallels between ancient times and our present age. The scripture reveals that judgment came not merely because of individual sin, but because an entire culture—from the oldest to the youngest—had normalized what was contrary to God's design. What's striking is how the older generation taught the younger, passing down destructive patterns until wickedness became systemic. Yet even in this context, God demonstrates His heart by seeking intercessors like Abraham who would stand in the gap.

The call for us today is clear: we must walk humbly before our God, do justly, and love mercy. This isn't about condemnation but about recognizing that while those who have accepted Jesus bypass judgment, we're still called to intercede for a world heading toward wrath. The beautiful truth is that God is still looking for people who will pray, who will stand in the gap, and who will meet Him halfway as He extends His hand of salvation.
