This Leg of the Race

This weeks message invites us into a profound moment of transition and trust in God's sovereignty over His church. At its heart, we encounter the beautiful truth that ministry is never about individual personalities but about Christ building His church through surrendered vessels.
Drawing from 1 Corinthians 3, we're reminded that some plant, others water, but God alone causes the growth. The message walks us through thirteen years of faithful ministry—missions to Mexico, community outreach, baptisms, prayer initiatives, and countless acts of service—all demonstrating what happens when a church commits to being the hands and feet of Jesus in their community. Yet the most striking element is the courage required to step back when God calls us to a new season. Like Elijah, who needed rest before his next assignment, we learn that faithful service sometimes means knowing when to pause, refresh, and allow God to do something new. The reference to Jacob's vow in Genesis 28 reminds us that God orchestrates our steps, bringing us to the right places at the right times. This isn't a story of ending but of multiplication—one faithful season preparing the ground for an even greater harvest.
We're challenged to trust that God's plans extend far beyond our individual contributions, and that true kingdom work continues across generations and through many different hands.
